FOOD STAMPS (SNAP) – ALASKA

The Alaska food assistance program uses electronic transfer debit cards to dispense benefits to qualified low income people. Food debit cards can be used anywhere that SNAP food benefits are accepted. In order to be accepted into the program and receive a food debit card, it is necessary to first apply at your local state-run office that facilitates the SNAP program. You can locate the closest SNAP Office by contacting: Alaska Department of Human Resources: Alaska Dept of Health & Social Services Division of Public Assistance Contact the office from which the client last received benefits.
