Bankruptcy Confirmation Hearing

A Chapter 13 repayment plan must be “confirmed” by the bankruptcy judge in order for the bankruptcy to be finalized and the debtors debts discharged or modified. This is a judicial hearing in which all creditors and interested parties are notified of the time, date, and place.  Creditors may appear at the hearing to voice their objections to the proposed plan and suggest repayment alternatives. The judge has sole discretion to approve or disapprove the repayment plan.
