It is nothing short of cosmic transmutation at the level of our innermost being, consciousness transcending both body and mind. It is the awakening of your spiritual essence.
Kundalini – One Within The One
Kundalini is the power of the self to know the self as the spiritual essence of all existence. Stated another way, the perceived wall of separation between the proverbial subject (me) and the proverbial object (you/it) disappears and the experience of unity between what was thought to be separate is suddenly, profoundly and irrefutably experienced as a single and unified experience of reality.

The Raising Of Kundalini - Emergence
The momentum necessary for spiritual awakening usually first emerges from a state of disorder and from varying degrees of chaos before our awakening can emerge into something new and useful. This is how emergence expresses itself. It is an evolutionary process unfolding.
It has been said that to experience Kundalini the person must have an open heart, open mind and a deep and enduring love for truth. Prior religious or spiritual practice is not always necessary in order to have such an awakening. Surely a surprising disappointment for those who believe one can only reach spiritual transformation through formal religion.
Kundalini has been shown to rise within us usually after we have pushed ourselves beyond our perceived limits, beyond the point of absolute and utter surrender. Then, just when we are convinced that all is lost and we can no longer sense the ground beneath our feet, do the doors to our deepest knowing and desire open and reveal itself. Once opened, what pours fourth is a new and vital understanding of ones self in essence as the energetic force. It is so powerful, so unlike anything we have ever experienced, that it bursts into our consciousness with unimaginable intensity. It is the awakening of Kundalini and if you are fortunate enough to experience it, your life will never be the same.
Risks Associated With Awakening Kundalini
While Kundalini is said to be the most amazing and insightful experience a human being can ever hope to have, we must caution that it can, for some, also be a highly confusing and destabilizing experience.
Sometimes the person is completely unaware of what is happening to them. This is because Kundalini can arise spontaneously in a person without advanced warning and as mentioned, without any formal spiritual or religious training whatsoever. Further, the awakening can produce visions of luminous beings and outrageous cosmic happenings and sights, which to put it lightly, can cause utter amazement and bewilderment.
Once experienced however and understood as a transforming spiritual event, life will and often does take on a radically new perspective for the person that is awakened by Kundalini. The illusion of separateness between people, cultures and nations vanish and one is left with an undeniable sense of profound unity with the rest of the world and with the cosmos.
Kundalini allows us to finally distinguish illusion from reality and in so doing so we finally know for the very first time which of the two is actually real. And what is real is simply so fantastic and unimaginable to us, that if defies description entirely. It can only be said that the experience and reality brought on by Kundalini is everything we have ever wanted and hoped for for our lives and yet it is hardly believable to one who has not gone through such a transforming experience.
Kundalini – Emotional And Physical Change – Defies Description
The onset of Kundalini can begin with uncontrollable shaking, tingling, crying, laughter, and extreme disorientation followed by a sense of intense wonder and love for humanity. Neither duality nor ego exists in this state.
Those who have actually experienced this type of awakening tell us that they are unable to convey or describe anything near a real sense of the experience because there is literally nothing in our world with which to compare it with. It has been described as if one has entered a radically different dimension, even though it appears to be taking place within the space-time experience of our fourth dimension.
The awakening brings one into an altered state of cosmic consciousness in which one can directly perceive the unity underlying the world of separation and duality. In its place, comes a deep sense of peace, belonging, bliss, and sense of living in a loving and eternal timelessness. The fear of death is replaced with relief and joy and then a quite understanding of ones eternal nature begins to arise and fill the person with transformative energy.
Unfortunately, in some cases the emotional upheaval brought on by Kundalini can also be emotionally frightening and unexpected and can sometimes resemble a psychotic episode. Sadly, most health care professionals still regard phenomena associated with spiritual emergence as suggestive of psychological pathology precisely because the complaints can be so easily confused with mania, depression, and bipolar conditions. Many people undergoing spiritual emergence are therefore misdiagnosed and treated with anti-psychotic drugs and therapy, which can and often does aggravate and complicate the process for the individual going through the experience.
Kundalini And Enlightenment
A Kundalini awakening usually, but not always includes reaching the state we call enlightenment. Enlightenment represents a profound shift from ego-based consciousness to union-based consciousness. Enlightenment causes us to see our individual life as inseparable from the ALL. We know as a direct experience and without question that separation and dualism is an illusion and the knowledge of this truth is intensely experiential rather then merely intellectual.
Transformation Is Often Emotionally Disruptive
Most people who are untrained in Yoga or other mystical practices are usually unaware that a spiritual transformation has begun to take hold in them. The person may be going through what mystics refer to as the dark night of the soul. It is the transforming psyche right before it experiences the collapse of duality and the awakening to ones true and essential self as the whole of creation.
When individuated consciousness (soul) learns it is actually something called Eternal Consciousness (Divine), the awakening to this fact is life altering. Individuated consciousness sees and remembers that it was never truly separate from anything. It was all an illusion. When truth is known we see that Eternal Consciousness is all there is, was and ever will be – and we are all of that!
Awakening To Enlightenment
It is important to distinguish between a Kundalini awakening and the state of enlightenment. Enlightenment rarely if ever results from a single encounter with the spiritual realm. Instead, the energetic awakening of Kundalini tends to trigger an expansion of consciousness brought on by intense intuitive insights within the person and which sets the stage for deeper transpersonal experiences to follow, including Kundalini.
The intensity and duration of each intuitive glimpse of transpersonal reality varies with our readiness to contain and integrate them into our psychic and physical being. This is why we must remind ourselves that Kundalini is not an end point in the spiritual quest, but rather the beginning of a transformation of consciousness, which expands our capacity to truly know oneself as belonging to the divine. It is a transpersonal process with no beginning and no end.
We awaken to the realization that we are Universal Consciousness. While in our physical body we are a distinct and individuated form of physicality, in essence, we are and have always been a fractal of divine consciousness and a living blessing unto the cosmos.
Kundalini is said to be the most profound personal experience one can ever have or imagine. What you thought you knew about your life, you suddenly realize that you don’t anymore. You realize that there is much more going on here then what you have been told or even imagined. You know there is a great truth that exists beyond what you have been able to grasp, the likes of which turns out to be so life altering and paradoxical that it changes everything you understood about your life, the world and reality in general.
Kundalini is not an end but rather a path within the universal process of evolution. It is the essential transforming experience for humanity regardless of ones individual's religious beliefs or spiritual orientation.
For many, the idea of enlightenment is in some ways a mixed blessing. The realization that we are in essence spirit-based beings does not put an end to life’s struggles - it’s more like a new beginning born from a new and fantastic understanding of almost everything. Even with enlightenment, we still don’t get to sit under a tree like the Buddha and mediate our life away.
You may have had a glimpse into a new and compelling reality, but getting back to that place and intensity of that experience does not happen with a twitch of the nose or the clicking of a pair of ruby-red slippers. Instead, what you know as real is that you do not have to die to find out the truth to the greatest mystery of all time. You get to know the answer to the riddle while you are still here! This is the magic of Kundalini.
It is a great gift to know that we actually are what we had always hoped and dreamed we would be - immortal. To finally know in our hearts what we have always wanted to know since the beginning of time. Who we truly really are, where we came from and where we are going. It is the end of Karma and the beginning of a new and spectacular journey through the cosmos.
The Purpose of Life
The purpose of life is to love; if the whole planet loves together we create heaven on earth. This has an even higher purpose in the galaxy and by extension the universe, that which we can not understand. Do you have faith to accept this?
The microcosm becomes the macroscom. Each human plays a part in the earth becoming holy positive, just like each earth plays a part in the galaxy becoming holy positive and each galaxy in turn generating a universe holy positive giving birth to the evolution of something beyond human conception, something so holy beautiful and perfect.
We must break free of the yin and yang dichotomy, it is time to create something holy positive, something that supports itself through its own energy, a perpetual motion machine of postive energy on a universal level.
You have the power, we can do this together, just think and project positivity and love as much as you possibly can.

Words For My Sister – Life’s Troubles & Spiritual Awakening
The other day I received an urgent e-mail from my older sister. It was a message fraught with sadness, loneliness and disappointment. Money was tight and she told me she was putting together a yard sale to raise a few extra dollars. My sister asked me to pray that it would go well for her. I promised her I would. But I also knew that it was more then just money trouble. My sister was clearly in a spiritual crisis, but it was also clear she was heading for a spiritual awakening.
I replied to her e-mail immediately. I reached for my keyboard and the words began to fly off my fingers. I marveled at the speed at which one heart could touch another through the Internet. The next day I read what I had written or should I say what seemed to come through me that evening. I decided to publish my reply on my website believing wholeheartedly that others might also find some comfort in these words. Leaving out only her name, this is what I wrote to my sister:
My Dear Sister:
Thank you for reaching out to me. I am here for you in my love for what I know is a beautiful heart that wants nothing more then to know the truth. I am so proud of you and honored to call you my family. The answer to all your wonderful questions has been with you from the moment you first opened your eyes to this world. It is called the Truth. We may all have different perspectives of what this might be - but the Truth is absolute and the source of all joy and redemption.
So what is the truth? It is nothing more then what really IS - ultimately it is the power and force of Love itself. But love does not play favorites or engage in illusions, it just is and knows and sees you for who you really are! Truth does not care about how much money you have or whether you are famous or beautiful - it loves and cherishes you for YOU - which in essence is LOVE and therefore the creator HIMSELF/HERSELF. LOVE is/are our true parents and they have never left your side, not even for moment.
Love has been quietly waiting for you to return - feeling your pain and giving you clues and setting up lessons for you to awaken. And yet, like a great parent it will NEVER take away your free will to choose - it will never tell you how to think or what you should do, know or be. The Creator will not interfere with your right to lose all hope and lose all faith until you have no more left. Until you are empty of ego - and then there is nothing left but GOD - waiting for you with open arms. It is said that only when hope is really gone does TRUTH arrive - and yes the truth will set you free.
No human being, not mom or dad, not the rabbi or the priest, can compare to what the truth brings - so perhaps your Soul recognized this and said YES - this is True. Mom and Dad have their own journey to complete - perhaps many more lifetimes to be lived until they discover this - but you are not in control of their destiny or responsible for their journey - neither you nor me are that powerful - so we watch and cry for them and accept their misery as ours. BUT - we are not here to be followers. We are here to discover the truth and we have a soul that sweetly whispers it to us all the time regarding what that really means. It is the same voice that was whispering (probably screaming!) in your ears when I said the words I did about our earth parents. Your soul recognizes the truth in these words because your soul IS THE TRUTH!
First, let me say there are no coincidences - the universe is both conscious and purposeful. It is constantly providing us with clues - like the yard sale you are having and it is hoping you will make the connection! THIS IS THE TIME TO BE CLEANING OUT EVERYTHING!!! Inside and outside – for in truth - the inside and outside are one and you are now seeing this for yourself.
Get rid of all the things that no longer serve you - inside and out - get rid of it all until you are left with nothing - then you will have room for the Everything to enter and that is our true Parents - the Ones that did not care if you ever turned into a famous movie star or had tons of money - whether you had a family of your own or whether you turned into something called worldly success. Our true parent was the ONE that only wanted you for YOU!! That’s the kind of love you are feeling and it is knocking on your door right now - this precious moment - and this love will be there for you even if you choose not to awaken this time around.
My dear sister, I believe you and me are soul mates from the same branch of life. Life of late has been so hard for us but this is what we willingly took on and agreed to before we arrived - so we would be able to be confused, hurt, assaulted, disappointed, shamed and to feel so terribly lost. The good news is that I believe that chapter in our lives is now coming to an end!! After this life - when we ascend to the next dimensional level, we will never forget who we are again or who our true parents have been all along.
We were the truth seekers and we have sacrificed our own happiness (or not) to learn the lessons we have come here to learn. So now is the perfect time - the planned time for you to awaken to a new world. One in which there is no more lying and hating, no more starving children, no more war, no more greed ... we are all now being shaped by the loving hand of evolution - we are being reborn at the level of our very consciousness. The new human is being born - and like any mothers birth, it is both painful and frightening - but like any mothers birth, when we arrive, it will contain a joy that is unimaginable for us to know right now. This getting out of the way for love to enter is what I call the two-step, pivot yourself out of the way and let your true Partner enter – it’s your Soul!!!
When I moved away from Los Angeles – I felt the profound need to get closer to whatever was calling me. It is like going to the mountain to finally confront myself - to do the hard work of getting the rest of me out of the way. I cant tell you how hard it has been and how many times I wanted to die. It is very hard to give up all hope - because it requires that we have faith that love will catch us before we hit the ground. These lessons do not end while we are still here - the garage needs to be completely cleaned and there is just so much that accumulates for us to get rid of - and God will not cut these lessons short for they are of great value to us – at least not until we leave this body and fall into our Parents loving arms once more.
You asked me about what I read or whether I belong to some religious group. I am not part of any religion, group or spiritual discipline here - I read everything that I can get my hands on that truly speaks to me. I spend much of my money on different books from quantum physics to ancient mythology. I am also rediscovering nature and the smell of fresh rain. I have been writing a book which I hope will soon be finished – its been very challenging - and I don't know if it will be commercially successful and I am learning to trust in that regard as well - I just want it to reach as many souls as possible.
Speaking of coincidences - (not!) I have realized that I have been in love with the Internet because it binds all of us together. It was something my soul knew when I was building my little company. Do you think it was a coincidence that I named it GotTrouble.com?? In trouble we fall apart but we also get the opportunity to put ourselves back together again – it’s how we get to participate in this grand creation.
So clean out that garage of yours - you already have my prayers but you do not really need them – just clean the inside and the outside. Don't run from the pain of not knowing how it will all turn out - just keep going and you will discover for yourself that you have been loved immeasurably! So run Forest run!!
God has felt your pain and sadness all along - just so you can learn and be more then you are right now. These are your true Parents and they are waiting for you to finally return.
