The Truth About Love

When we talk about love, we usually refer to our partners, our children, our extended families, and our close friends. We understand love as personal and exclusive to us. There is, however, a love that is equally true, yet more expansive and inclusive. This love arises as part of the awakening of our spirit, and there is no limit to its expression and reach. It is the love of intelligent infinity.

The love of infinity is the same kind of love we see at all stages of evolution—the movement of life as it evolves. On a small scale we see how a cell embraces a molecule to form the whole. On a larger scale we see how a mother holds and nourishes her unborn child inside of her until she brings it outside of her.

This love is evolution embracing itself and bringing forth life. It is the sacred pouring out of itself from itself for the benefit of the whole. It is our very desire to be in union with creation.

As we expand through consciousness, so will our capacity to love beyond our personal and immediate realms. As consciousness expands, it will naturally seek to embrace others, from other nations and, eventually, other worlds.

We are part of a loving universe that is becoming ever more inclusive as it reaches out to include and express more of itself. As our consciousness expands, so does our capacity for boundless love—not only love for our creator, but also love for all of our creator’s creations. This is the love we know as Agape.
