Radiation
Radiation treatment involves the use of radiation treatment to kill off the cancerous cells in the affected area. Although this treatment is painful, patients with pleural mesothelioma have experienced reduced episodes of shortness of breath. A downside is that radiation treatment often kills healthy cells as well as corrupted cells that have been invaded by the disease.
