Peritoneal mesothelioma

This occurs in about ten percent of mesothelioma cases, is usually caused by swallowed asbestos. It affects the lining of the abdominal and pelvic cavities, called the peritoneum. The symptoms of peritoneal mesothelioma include a swollen and painful abdomen, high temperature, bowel problems, difficulty urinating, nausea and vomiting.
