Do we both need family law attorneys for a prenuptial agreement?

One family law attorney may draft the prenuptial agreement and explain it to you, but it is strongly recommended that each party have his or her own lawyer review the agreement, for at least two reasons. First, a family law attorney will make sure that you understand what the premarital agreement provides, what you are giving up and getting, and whether some provisions may not be enforceable. Second, the chances that a court will enforce a prenuptial agreement are increased significantly if each person had his or her own family law attorney review it.
