State Laws
Special considerations for professionals

Many of the individuals prosecuted for white collar crimes hold professional licenses. We have represented doctors, lawyers, automobile dealers, and real-estate professionals.

If you hold a professional license, a federal conviction will almost certainly result in the loss of your license. If your white collar defense attorney is not well-versed in the licensing considerations in your profession or specialty, you or your lawyer should consult with an additional counsel who is.

If you are a lawyer facing federal criminal charges, it is highly likely that your attorney will be well-versed in State Bar procedures relative to your situation. If he or she is not, or if you have a different professional license, you will want to have someone who is versed in that area available to your defense team for consultation.
